How it works
Hydrofloor panels have water channels built in at 50mm intervals. The entire surface heats evenly, without relying on thermal mass to conduct heat across gaps. No concrete, no separate tubing, fully modular and serviceable.
At ~3-5 lbs/sq ft, Hydrofloor installs on any floor level. Traditional concrete radiant adds 18-25 lbs/sq ft — typically limiting it to slab-on-grade or basements, since upper floors in wood-framed homes require structural reinforcement to carry the load.
Dense channel spacing means less energy in, more heat out. Hydrofloor responds in minutes instead of hours — it skips the heat-soak cycle that traditional concrete slabs require. That efficiency eliminates the oversized boilers conventional setups depend on to run at much higher water temperatures.
